A Snowy Day in WNC

We got some snow here in Western NC last night, so things have been a little slow at the store today. Come on ladies!! It's a perfect day to scrapbook! You should probably come in and get some of the new Bittersweet from Basic Grey to make some Valentine's Day cards. :) If I get a little time today, I might even sit down and try to get something going!

In the meantime, I thought I'd start off by posting a few layouts that we've got up here at the store.

This first one is one that Sandy lifted from Technique Tuesday. She added a few touches to make it her own, and it turned out beautiful!! She used the Technique Tiles and stamps from Technique Tuesday, as well as lots of Stickles to make her layout sparkle!! The octopus were VERY labor intensive to stamp and cut out, so Sandy used the Exclusive QuicKutz border die (Sea Creatures) from Beach Scrapbooks. Sandy had some great pictures from one of her dive trips to use for this one. Do you think she saw this layout and went diving so she could scraplift it?? Hmmm.....

The next one is one that I did for a Christmas class at the store. I was really happy with how it turned out. I like that the red and green aren't your traditional "Christmas red and green." I also LOVE using the new Martha Stewart border punches whenever and whereever I can! I haven't decided if this is the picture that I'm going to keep on this layout, but I wanted to share it anyway.

Ladies--send me your CHRISTMAS LAYOUTS!! Email them to me here at the store: scrapbooking@citcom.net . We will choose our favorite and post it here on the Blog. The winner will receive a $5 gift certificate to the store (can be used in store or online--just let us know which you'd prefer when we contact you). The deadline is Sunday, January 25. Winner will be posted on Monday, January 26. Good luck!!

Well, the focus of the layout above is at the store with me today (that snow closed daycare), so I need to go make sure he's not creating havoc. He loves to play in the button basket and I can only imagine that there are buttons from one end of the store to the other right now.

More to come.....
